Matt earned his Juris Doctor from Salmon P. Chase College of Law where he attended the evening division as an adult professional. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Business from Thomas More College. Matt completed a two-year legal apprenticeship prior to licensure under the direct guidance of John R. Kummer, longtime Northern Kentucky attorney and former Kenton County Deputy Master Commissioner.
Prior to attending law school, Matt worked for a private group of international consumer brands and overseas manufacturing partners. In this role, he engaged in product and brand development strategies for the United States retail market. Matt worked alongside the major retail corporate offices of home centers, mass merchants, and wholesale clubs. Matt quickly became well-versed in consumer products compliance standards issued by Underwriters Laboratory (UL), U.S. Department of Energy, and state-level consumer product laws, primarily in California.
Matt’s extensive experience in brand development and international business operations gives him the ability to adapt to his various clients’ needs. What led Matt to become a lawyer was part of a career evolution that gave him 20+ years of valuable and practical experience before he ever stepped foot inside a law school. Matt decided to pursue a career in law so that he could better engage in work that serves a meaningful purpose. Matt discovered that he wanted to invest his time in providing legal services to those in his local community and retire his frequent flyer status for a life spent closer to home.
Matt is married to his amazing wife, Erika, of over 18 years and together they have a teenage son and daughter. Matt credits Erika for his success and believes that his professional journey would not be possible without her support. In his free time, Matt plays guitar and piano, enjoys trips to Costco, and seeks out new restaurants in the area.

Jenny earned her Bachelor of Arts in Paralegal Studies from the College of Mount St. Joseph. She brings a wealth of experience in law firm operations and understands what it takes to get the job done. Jenny is in charge of managing the Woods Law office, providing client support, and tackling the various tasks needed to run a successful law practice. She plays an integral role in ensuring that the client experience is efficient and positive.

Braden graduated from Thomas More University and is currently a law student at the University of Cincinnati College of Law. He takes a friendly approach to the most complex legal issues and works to assist the team in moving cases forward. Braden performs legal research, discovery and investigation, and many other tasks required in a busy practice. In his free time, Braden likes to hang out with friends, go to the movies, play multiplayer video games, and read. Braden has a great passion for cars, cooking, and history.

Tyson officially joined the team in 2023 when he appeared at a meeting with a child client and brought comfort to a traumatic case involving sexual abuse. He has a unique way of making the worst facts a little easier to talk about, ultimately strengthening our ability to represent the best interest of children. When not working, Tyson enjoys herding deer in the yard, chasing squirrels up trees, and fetching tennis balls.
